The Department of Veterans Affairs is the nation’s premiere and leading employer of Psychologists. The VA has developed a strong corps of psychologists with successful careers as clinical leaders, academicians, and managers. AVAPL is committed to the process of “succession planning,” which will allow us to develop the next generation of Psychology Leaders who will continue the VA tradition of excellence in health care.

AVAPL recognizes and supports the need for VA Psychologists to develop their professional careers in order to be ready to assume greater responsibilities in mental health, behavioral sciences, and allied academic missions. Experienced and knowledgeable members of AVAPL are available to partner with you in order to consult and plan for your future as a VA Psychology Leader.
