AVAPL respects each individual’s right to personal privacy.  We will collect and use information through our Web site only in the ways disclosed in this statement.  This statement applies solely to information collected at AVAPL’s Web site.

Part I.  Information Collection
AVAPL collects information through our Web site at several points through the capture of IP addresses and page hits. For the Message Board area only, we will require you to register in order to post messages. The information that you disclose during the registration process is entirely under your control. However, if that information cannot be confirmed to refer to a VA psychologist, your registration may be denied.

We may employ cookies. A cookie is a small text file that our Web server places on a user’s computer hard drive to be a unique identifier. Cookies enable AVAPL to track usage patterns and deliver customized content to users.  Blocking the setting of cookies will not prevent you from using the Website, with the exception of the Message Boards.

Part II.  Information Usage.
The information collected by AVAPL will be used primarily for statistical purposes. For the Message Boards, the information collected will be used to determine who has authorization to post messages.

The information we collect may be aggregated to create overall customer profiles based on browsing history.

We will not share data with third parties.

We offer links to other Web sites.  Please note: When you click on links to other Web sites, we encourage you to read their privacy policies.  Their standards may differ from ours.

Our Web site offers Message Boards.  Please be advised that information posted in these venues becomes public knowledge.
